In accordance with the Company’s commitment to develop and expand its CSR footprint in the UAE and the wider region, at the Company’s 2023 Annual General Assembly, shareholders approved a resolution giving the Board of Directors of the Company the authority to utilise up to 1% of the Company’s 2023 net profits for CSR initiatives.
Annually, the Companys subsidiary Waha Land upholds its impactful Ramadan initiative, showcasing a steadfast commitment to community welfare. Throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Waha Lands dedicated staff, alongside their families and friends, engage in the heartfelt endeavour of packaging and personally delivering hundreds of food boxes to those less fortunate and families facing hardship in Abu Dhabi. All elements of planning, packaging and delivery logistics take place at Waha Land’s offices with each box containing enough food to sustain a family of four for up to two weeks. Notably, in 2023, Waha Lands Ramadan initiative resulted in over 500 food boxes being delivered to those in need throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. This ongoing initiative, replicated yearly, embodies Waha Lands enduring dedication to serving the community.
In 2023, the Company made donations to the Emirates Red Cresent via the following campaigns:
